About Kahuzi Biega National Park

Kahuzi Biega National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, established in 1970 and covering 6,000 square kilometers in eastern DRC. It is named after the two dormant volcanoes, Mount Kahuzi and Mount Biega, and is renowned for its population of eastern lowland gorillas.

The park features a mix of rainforest, mountains, and lowland terrain, providing habitat for a remarkable diversity of wildlife. Kahuzi Biega is a top destination for gorilla trekking and nature lovers.
